Each to their own but personally I love this rendition of 'Ombra mai fu'.
Virgilijus Noreika has a stunning voice and one that has not received the world wide recognition it deserves.

I'm sorry I never heard of this man before, a fine voice (but the counting mistakes are VERY strange)

Let me preface this by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Noreika!
I was so scared when he sang the wrong rhythms at 0:55, 2:00, 2:05 and 2:13! I'm sitting here thinking, "My God! I hope the instruments can compensate for this!" Luckily, they did a great job of staying with him and not falling apart.
We all make mistakes, myself included (more than most, probably). Of course, this is not meant to be a criticism of Noreika, who is such a fabulous singer.

I see the comment about this not being for tenor. I think with the state that opera is in we should all just do what sounds good and attracts people to opera. Dissension among singers directors and all others involved about who is right and who is not is how things fail and become lost to history.

glorious tenor.

Now he is 75 y.o.

It's shame that there are so few videos about Virgilijus Noreika on the internet.
I am a tenor myself. Really hope to have chances to study bel canto under him.
What a pity he is very senior now!

Yes. I agree with you ! They both have jentle voices.
I am sorry, but this was not written with the tenor voice in mind, and so should not be sung by one.
Especially one as unsuitable as this!
