The concept of the "American Dream" hits very close to home for Gary Vaynerchuk. As a young boy, Gary emigrated to the United States from Belarus. Had he remained in his birthplace, Gary's inherent entrepreneurial spirit would have surely been squashed like a bug. Needless to say, his business-savvy DNA has been able to flourish. Sophia Montes also knows quite a bit about taking advantage of the American Dream. Her father, Bulmaro Montes, a Mexican-born immigrant, landed a job with Joseph Phelps winery in the 1970's as a vineyard hand. 30 years later, he grew to become Vice President of Operations for Joseph Phelps, one of the most respected wineries in all of Napa Valley. Just a few years ago, in cooperation with his family, Bulmaro left Phelps to start his own, boutique project, Maritas Vineyard. Sophia sat down with Gary to fill him in on the young winery's story and explain what it is that makes their Cabernet Sauvignons so exciting.
