The producers of GG have actually revealed that they planned to have Jess be in the final episodes of the last season (so, Rory was supposed to end up with Jess in the end) only Milo Ventimiglia didn't get to film for the last episodes. So this actually makes me feel better knowing that the original intent of the writers was to have them together (and that's why they didn't have her engaged to Logan).I like to think she and Jess get reunited somehow after she got on that bus. LITERATI FTW!!

I still think that they should've ended together. I wish they would make a movie and have Rory and Jess get back together. They could run into each other at Luke and Lorelaia's wedding or something. I think Jess really loved rory but he wasn't ready for a relationship, he should've gotten a second chance!!
