Ambrose became deaf after an illness as a boy. He was very discouraged but was pushed by his mother to continue schooling. After realising that he did not want to be a shoe maker, he went back to school and is now an academic and an activist for deaf children's rights to inclusive education. He is living proof that his Mother's commitment to inclusive education works! This story was made in a 5-day workshop in 2009 organised by the African Decade for People with disabilities, in association with the Association for Progressive Communications and Women'sNet. http://www.africandecade.org/
