Bart Wilson is back with a brand new spin on 360 tours... VIDEO 360 virtual tours. It's been shown off at Inman Connect and the REALTOR Expo and it's a fraction of the cost of proprietary systems like Immersive Media's Dodeca 2360 camera and vehicle mount kit (over $100,000). Bart shows you how to use your Nikon D90 or Canon 2Ti and a Sigma 50mm lens to get real WOW factor out of creating your own 360 video virtual tours of neighborhoods, hotels, restaurants or a drive through Naples Italy on a motorcycle. The 360 Video Tour Kit is new and comes with everything you need to start making your own 360 video tours. A Macintosh is required for the authoring, but playback can be on either Mac or PC. Starter kits are just $1,795 for a limited time (Normally $1,949) and come complete with Voyager's legendary step by step VIP training and priority technical support.

  • The Immersive Media system is actually just over $30,000 for their high end system with 11 lenses (plus costs for a simple rack and GPS system). This system doesn't have the distortion and other issues with mirror pano systems. It's really apples and oranges. The Immersive system -- when used for location-based recording, embeds the precise lat/long location into the video, along with pitch/yaw/roll info. The pano is just 'look here' fun. Immersive also has complete software apps approach.

  • @gumbogumbo1 It was bound to happen sooner or later. They've changed their prices. But now the company has stopped production and sales of this unit.

  • I'm curious as to why this has so little comments. I for one think it would be incredibly interesting if a full feature movie was made using this technology. Granted it wouldn't be practical for all movies, but it would be very cool to be able to feel completely immersed in a scene, being able to look all around a room while someone has a conversation. Maybe even spot little details in a detective movie perhaps.
