I really can't see anyone nowdays having nightmares about this film. It's awful, in a good sort of way. It's something I'd enjoy staying up till dawn watching. I hope TCM shows it again

I saw Black Sunday when I was 11 years old. It was then and still is today one of the scariest films I have seen. Turner Classic Movies ran this a few years ago and it had the original Italian score. I found it to be unwatchable because of the music. It was a good decision of AIP to have Les Baxter create a new score and redub the voice track. I would also consider this a masterpiece of film making.

Holy, damn, this is a masterpiece, just like Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" and George A.Romero's "Night of the living dead".
