Just a test (random shots) of the new super 8 camera my girlfriend bought me for xmas. kodak 64T was the only stock i could get over the xmas period.

Note to self: DONT try and shoot anything thats even remotely darkish with 64T. even with the lens wide open, the last few shots look about 6 times as dark as they were in reality. (also looks darker on youtube compared to before youtube.)

All in all, looks, ok, if a bit shaky.

Telecine'd using a canon XH-A1 in HDV.

  • You probably have the only girlfriend in the world who ever gave a Super 8 camera to a guy. Congratulations on both the film and her!

  • @gurnwilli How did you solve the strobe problem?

  • Did you do any grading on this?

  • Very well done! the result with screen transfer is pretty good. Have you tried some other ways of transferring your S 8 footage?

  • Awesome camera, hot chick, and sick tunes. This video almost has it all. Andrew Bird is freakin' sick. I really liked his Soldier On EP.

  • nice one. check my super 8 ALL THE COLOURS OF YOU super 8 film at my page. I used Kodachrome 40asa, now no more. I used low lights intentionally, but it turned out very underexposed. When I saw the quality I liked it, as it adds to the mystery of what is actually happening to the woman...
