North Carolina man Amos Richards was hiking Utah's Little Blue John Canyon when he fell, dislocating his shoulder and breaking his leg. Stranded and unable to walk, he managed to crawl most of the way back to his vehicle before being rescued. Richards decided to hike the canyon after seeing "127 Hours", a movie about hiker Aron Ralston that cut off his arm to escape after becoming trapped by a boulder in the canyon.
