Yeah, they did a good job of sounding like the Beatles. The giveaway is that Beau Charles didn't play guitar like George Harrison, which isn't to say that both weren't fantastic guitarists. Just their styles were different.

These guys sounded like the Beatles, even acted like the Beatles. Still were very much their own band and proud of it. I would love to see these guys today.....

Probably the greatest rock n roll single ever cut by an American garage band. In 2:42 the song immortalized the Knickerbockers. Some say the song tried to emulate the Beatles too much. Who cares? What teenage band in the early 1960's didn't try to sound like the Beatles? I always felt that this song sounded more like The Who circa 64-65. The driving bass line is wild, the vocals amazing., the guitars perfect. Rumor has it that the band's name came from Knickerbocker Ave. in Bergenfield NJ.
