@tobitadagon this is used in peace time in sweden. mostly for saving money by recycling the brass and secondly for keping the hot brass to hit your buddies on the range :P

@megrune94 The Swedish aimpoint sight has a small clear window on the rear lid, so you don't even have to flip that one open (actually, you never really do unless it's fogged up). It's definitely better to have the front one open, but one day during training the weather was so horrible that we had to close the front lid between each shooting and sometimes we forgot to open it again.. Worked just fine even on ~50 meters since you use both eyes to shoot, and the red dot never moves.
