YAY I WORK HERE, IM IN THE GUILDE OF ST LAWRENCE I LOVE IT. Whats really funny though is that I almost reveranced (sp?) the nobles in this video because ive gotten so used to reverancing anyone whos dressed nicer than I am at faire. I have so many great faire memories. Anyone under the age of 25 in the guilde were playing catch and we got patrons to join in. And one weekend I asked everyone I saw that was wearing a kilt "What's underneath the scottsman's kilt?" until one patron flashed me.

I've always wanted to go to a renaissance fair. That looks cool!

The tune is best-known as "Red Admiral Butterfly", as there are a number of pieces that include "Butterfly" in the title. Thank you for this video. I went to Bristol for 13 summers before a serious health problem put a halt to my attendance. Naturally, I went in garb. One fellow dubbed those who wear garb but pay to get in "playtrons"! They've made so many changes it seems that I'd so much love to be there again! I saw the Swordsmen and Lady Ettie! Maybe someday I shall revisit it. *sigh*

@meandmymandola Thank you, I didn't realize there was another name to the tune used in Roan Inish.

I haven't been there in years. Is the nut guy still asking people to sample his nuts?

what kind of food is there?

Roasted cashews, roasted almonds, roast beef sandwiches, bread bowls (I got one with broccoli cheese something or another).. but there was also chicken noodle or a beef soup, fritters, fruit/ice cream deserts (oh SO good!). I don't know what else, it's hard to think of everything, but they have so much food. Pickles on a stick! Don't wanna forget that one. To sum it up, way too much to list but if you love food you can't hate what they have here, it's all so good! I loved the fritters. :)
