This was one "teen" movie from the 1960s that had a LOT of heart! Many critics panned this, but I thought the movie was a delight! Nice number!

Just saw this movie for the first time a few weeks ago - it may be somewhat cheesey but it offers a nice time capsule view of the period. Features a couple of great songs, too. Thanks for posting.

Thanks so much, TheTomMunday, this is the clip and you made my day! Gil Peterson was one of the people who inspired me to (try to) become an actor. I had been living in Naples, Italy because my Dad, a Naval officer, was stationed there from 1964-1967. “The Cool Ones” was the first movie I saw when we got back to the States. It was like my re-introduction to American pop culture. I was completely blown away by the image of Gil Peterson as a singing teen idol. He became a role model.
