I made the onion pakoras last night, and they came out perfectly! I never knew that it was so easy to make my favorite appetizer. :) They are so much cheaper to make at home than to order in a restaurant. Thank you! The only change I made was that I added a bit of ground fenugreek to the batter. Delicious!

what can you use if you don't have a kadahi? Can you use a regular pot to deep fry the pakoras?

hello chefs could you pl explain the difference between normal cumin powder and roasted cumin powder..i do have normal cumin powder at home but not the roasted one
akashshah1907 1 year ago
@akashshah1907 : Roasted Cumin Powder is Cumin Seeds that have been dry roasted and ground/powdered.
Cumin powder needs to be cooked along with the dish and roasted Cumin Powder is already cooked and can be added at the end. Roasted Cumin Powder has a fantastic and a stronger aroma where as cumin powder added in the cooking in comparison, is milder.
You can make the roasted cumin powder at home :)
