Women killed in the name of honor

Despite being outlawed, honor killings are widespread in Turkey. Hundreds of women are killed each year for forming relationships, seeking divorce, or even because they're victims of sexual assaults and rapes.

@enoughtthatsit what do you mean when you talk about checking the ethnicity of the murderers? There is no Turkish nation,Turkey consists of people whose territories formed the Ottoman Empire -so if they were not Kurdish they would be from Iran, Iraq, Russia Bulgaria Greece Romania Armenia e.t.c e.t.c. So if they follow government orders they are all Turks, if they make headline news for reasons like this and cause global outcry they are not. How convenient.

Muslims take over countries through immigration, reproduction, and eventually necessitation of special stores, schools and laws (Shariah). Once Shariah takes a foothold, the country is doomed to fall completely to Islam and no other religions will be tolerated or allowed.

I hate when media investigates a topic. Why they don't check the ethnicity of murderer. They are not turk. They are pure kurdish.

Check ethnicity of diyarbakir, van, mardin, mus, agri, gaziantep, adiyaman. These honor killings occur in these cities and also istanbul because many kurd moved to istanbul from 1980. Foreign media is so mean to turkey. Yes They deserve freedom and more more more education in order to get rid of their stupid arabic lifestyle.

Turkish government pays money to convince kurds to send their daughters to the school.

My american friend married with a kurdish man from bornova Izmir/Turkey. She learned their lifestyle, bride has to sit lower than her in laws. If they give chance she can talk. They divorced she eventually ran back to US. Happy End :) If she wasn't an american, she would not able to run away from them.

Poor Turks don't have presentation skills to introduce these issues to the world.

CORRECTION!! NO TURKS HAVE HONOR KILLING.This is pure KURDISH tradition.THEY ARE UNEDUCATED MALE DOMINANT SOCIETY. My friend was and teacher in Mardin /Turkey. She told me that fathers don't send their daughters to the school. If girls educate they will resist to the their law.

If they don't get money they won't let their daughter get married.

Also kurds have blood revenge. They killed 44 people in wedding.There was a 3 years old girl. Search for "mardin engagement ceremony massacre" !!!
