Waiting to Begin Again (Chapter 51) [1/13]

Hey guys so sorry it's been awhile, but i've been busy catching up on life here at home lol. But good news is I'm gonna do a post christmas marathon. I hope you all are having good holiday seasons!
um please don't get mad at me guys, but I think that I'm just gonna focus on this story for a little while. See You is just not flowing well for me and it's driving me insane trying to write it. This one though I'm really far ahead and it's working well. but SEE YOU IS NOT ENDING. I repeat NOT ending. it's just going on a break. I'm so sorry. I hope you understanding.
Don't know how long this marathon will be. I kinda wanna catch up some since i'm so far ahead in writing so it may be long. maybe not. we'll see haha.

{Nick's P.O.V.}
I knew I shouldn't be listening, and I felt bad about it, but I couldn't get myself to leave. The meeting had just ended. It was all a cover to leave Hayley alone for awhile. We were all kind of sick of her putting off calling Tyler, so me, Kevin, Joe, Andy, Alex, Mike, and Jay had put on this whole production. I'm not totally sure how we pulled it off especially cause if Dad had known we had the entire crew debating pizza, well, let's just say it would have ended before it started. Anyway, after we stretched the "debate" as far as we could, we let everyone go. We had eaten up enough time for Hayley to have called anyway. I hadn't intended to look for Hayley. We had all agreed to give it some time, one, so we didn't look as suspicious, rushing to her as soon as the meeting was over, and, two, we wanted to give her some time in case she was still on the phone. That said, I wanted to stay close so that I could be the one to comfort Hayley if things didn't go well. Not that I was hoping for that or anything.
Anyway, I was walking around, looking for one of my parents when I had heard Hayley talking. Again, as much as I knew I should leave, I couldn't do it. I didn't hear more than a minute of the conversation, but I did hear her say that she loved him. So much for needing to comfort her. After she said goodbye, it was quiet. I held my breath for fear of being heard. Then I heard her start to play the guitar. Oh man. I didn't know if I could handle this, but it was like I had told her; there was something about her voice when she sang, I just had to listen.

I put my head back and fought tears. She did love him and evidently he loved her too. Maybe Joe was right; I did just need to move on.

{Kevin's P.O.V.}
It was 3 days later that we were back in New Jersey. Practically home. We were playing two shows there. We had left DC right after the concert the night before and gotten to New Jersey shortly after, so we'd have some time to visit people and places. We were dead tired, but there were some friends we wanted to see, so we went off the next morning. I was visiting a friend and we went to get lunch together. Of course, it was us and a security guard, but that's beyond the point. Anyway, we were walking back to the car when I saw a familiar face, but not just any familiar face. I almost couldn't believe it.
