REV. ELLIOTT T. IVEY SR. ~ PASTOR/TEACHER Began his Christian and Ministerial experience in 1983 when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior  Was called to the gospel ministry at the age of nine  Rev Ivey was licensed and ordained to preach the gospel at the Antioch BC in Birmingham, Alabama under Pastor Q.E. Hammonds  Received his education and training from: • Alabama A&M University • Birmingham Easion Baptist Bible College; • Southeastern Bible College  In the year 2000, Rev. Ivey accepted the call of full-time pastor of the First Baptist Church in Pell City, Alabama  Upon his leadership of First Baptist • Membership increased • Tithes and Offering increased • A new Worship and Christian Education facility was constructed In November of 2004 the Lord answered not only the prayers of Pastor Ivey but also those of Trinity MBC in search of a bible-believing, bible-teaching man of God who would stand on the Word of God as the new Shepherd over their souls. Under his leadership in December of 2004 Trinity MBC officially became New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church. Since Pastor Ivey's arrival New Beginnings has • Increased in membership by over 200 • Increased its donations • Began improving our Evangelism and Discipleship ministries By placing emphasis on Restoration, Reconciliation and Assimilation God is doing great things at New Beginnings under Pastor Ivey's leadership. In October 2007 Pastor Ivey will continue his ministry education at Faith Theological Seminary of Tacoma, Washington where he plans to successfully complete requirements for the Master's Degree.
