Dj Passant Refaat is the world's first Egyptian female dj. She is the originator of female djing in Egypt. She started djing when she returned from Budapest, Hungary as young as15 years old. Her first appearance was in 2003 at the German University in Cairo. Passant's older brother Taarek was the skillful hand who introduced her to the world of djing and the art of mixing.

Once she started djing... she could never stop. It is this marvelous feeling that makes her hooked on djing. She started off her djing career with a well-known band in Cairo's Marriott Hotel, which grabbed the attention of many people.

Passant was offered a residency in Zerzara club at the JW Marriott, HardRock Cafe in Grand Hyatt and SkyBar in Malaysia. She is the only Egyptian female dj who made guest appearances in Little Buddha Hurghada and Sharm al-Sheikh, Sangria, Latex, The Place boat and Bellisimo to name some. She appeared in interviews on Egypt's OTV, and Rotana Music, leading TV channel broadcast to the Arab world. Towards the end of 2008, Passant has been the representative of SUNSILK as the youngest female dj in Egypt. Her billboards were all over the streets of Cairo and Alexandria.

She is the first Egyptian female dj to have her mixes played on Cairo's no.1 hit music station, Nile Fm. Her music is a fusion of vocal-based commercial, electro, funky, progressive, club and tech-house. She is full of boundless energy, lively and frisky. No wonder that her name, which goes back to ancient Egypt, means "the goddess of Joy and Fun." Dj Passant believes that success is all about hard work and passion; therefore she continues to hone her remarkable djing skills.

Djing for her is a passion, a fancy; a world of glitter and sparkle, which makes her always seeking and aspiring for more. She is enamored and infatuated with the sounds of Axwell, Fedde Le Grand, Roger Sanchez and David Guetta.
