@riverajm2 You might say that since this guy is definitely one of the easiest, but it gets more and more difficult unless you memorize the opponents patterns, which takes practice. I've never heard of "The Fight Lights Out", but Punch Out (as a series) is one of the most difficult games I've ever played.

Yeah, Mario was only the ref in NES PO. In fact, if you look back at the Arcade PO's, the Wii ref looks A LOT like the Arcade ref.
