Still photos of movie cowboys along with Rex Allen Jr's song, Last of the Silver Screen Cowboys. Rex Allen Sr. and Roy Rogers are also featured in the vocals.
Baby boomers who were influenced by the values of these actors will have trouble listening without getting a tear in the corner of the eye. These fine men taught a generation to do the right thing.
Photos of Rex Allen, Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Lash Larue, Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autrey, Tom Mix, the Durango Kid, the Lone Ranger, Tonto, Ron Reagan, George "Gabby" Hayes, Alan Rocky Lane, James Arness and, of course, John Wayne accompany the lyrics.
Nice video except for the inclusion of Reagan.

@doughesson You didn't just watch them. You had to know: What color was his horse? Did he wear, one gun? Or, two? Who was his sidekick? That was being in the know!

Rex Jr. sang this at a western film convention I attended. He told us that Roy Rogers and his dad came in at the end and did their parts separately. As they listened to the playback, Rex Jr. noticed Roy began to laugh. Roy said, "You know, the older I get, the more I sound like Gabby Hayes." Cute anecdote to go with a great song. Thanks for posting.
