@PJDooWop Love Bells was released in 61 & this was released in 65. I would have to agree with what you say about Madison, Love Bells was #168 & Madison ended with #169 Tico & Triumphs "I Don't Believe Them" Madison only pressed form 58-61 It was short lived. So it makes plenty of sense why it's rare. Actually the last 10 or so on Madison are not easy to find 45s.

Don't be sorry. Thanks for correcting me. I was always under the impression that Vegas was a NY label. Did this come before Love Bells, or the other way around? I read that Madison was shut down when Love Bells was just starting to get off the ground, which is probably why it's such a rare record now.

Harry Newman was a dj on wpaz in pottstown, pa and then moved onto warm in scranton, pa. i met eddie through harry who was also a great friend. the last i heard harry had been working on the armed forces radio network play country music, but that was about 10 years ago.
please give a big hello to eddie for me if you ever see him. hope he is well. i will always remember what great talent he had.

you have some good info. i was the producer for Garden & Blanche. Joey Leone was one of my closest friends growing up in Germantown and he was in the group known as the Ecstasies. They were also great.
If you read this message, let me know who you are.
thanks sid

Sorry to differ with you, but i was actually the producer and i am from PHL. The label Vegas was owned by Ben Vanilla and he was from the philadelphia area. He owned an electronics store in Clifton Heights, PA. Got my first FM tuner for the car there in 1960.

so odd to see comments about this "eddie delmar" who happens to be my late father's cousin and all references to his family, who are my cousins as well is surreal. the songs sound just as fresh today as they did back then. i saw my cousin several years ago at a family wedding or was it a funeral? that is the only time distant cousins see each other these days.it is a blast to finally have his vocals somewhere we can actually hear them.thanks to all who helped get these on the web.

@tvwiggles2u You're so very welcome! Indeed it was such a pleasure to post them and receive very nice comments from family members including Eddie himself! I myself must confess the only time I see all my family is at wakes. I haven't heard from Eddie in a long time but I'm sure he keeps checking back on the postings. Thanks again for your very kind comment!

The record was recorded in Philadelphia, PA where Eddie Delmar and the Bob Knight Four had a very strong base of fans. Also a DJ friend, Harry Newman (the voice in the opening of the TV show "Cops,") played their records extensively and helped build their fan base. Eddie Delmar was from Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The Bob Knight Four were from East New York, Brooklyn. The Bob Knight Four were Bob Bovino-Lead, John Roper-Bass/Baritone, Paul Ferrigno-1st Tenor, & Ralph Garone-2nd Tenor/Baritone.

Hey BrooklynBobby9. Thought you'd like to know, Eddie Delmar's daughter Tammi contacted me, Eddie's doing great, he's not performing though, we need to contact PBS Doowop & get the group back together again, wouldn't that be GREAT! Eddie would like to know how Harry Newman is doing, do you know anything about him? Harry was Eddie's manager.
