I still don't get the concept of the barker bass. It isn't the same scale as a double bass or an EUB, it's the size of a bass guitar, and it sounds just like a bass guitar; so why play it upright;, why have a larger body. It it was supposed to emulate or approximate an upright, I would understand but it sounds just like a fretless bass guitar and is larger to transport. What's the point?

Wow! When I grow up, I want my Barker to sound like Andrew's! Unfortunately, a brain transplant will likely be required for me to ever sound that good...
Great playing, great bass. Lee Barker is the man.

I have a fretless, unlined 5 string Barker upright. I love that bass. It sounds great and is a blast to play.
