Western Tibetans flocked to Mcleod Ganj in March 2007 to get close to their Dalai Lama and to perform some traditional Tibetan dancing.
Different costumes/groups represent different areas of Western Tibet although most of the performers are refugees living outside of Tibet, mainly in the Khatmandu valley of Nepal.
I was unable to photograph the 5 minutes when Dalai Lama greeted the Western Tibetans outside his residence in Mcleod Ganj on his way to the temple. For that a fairly strict permit is needed.
