The shrine culture has not only weakened our faith in Allah but has brought about lethargy amongst Muslims. Instead of working hard we beg from peers. Instead of going to doctor for treatment we go to peers for emulets. It is not the illiterate but very highly educated people also indulge in this shirk

"And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allaah, such as will not answer him on the day of judgement, and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call to them?" Qur'aan 47:5

dost no body is saying anything wrong about these people who are buried there, infact i will go and offer Fatiha, but to bow on these graves is simply against islam, we only bow in the direction of Makkah, anything else is not islam and hence not a muslim

I agree its shrik and biddath and may be some day we realize how ignorrant were we worshipping these graves

Building mosques or places of worship over graves is forbidden. In fact a grave should not be more than a hand-span above the surrounding area. The shrines across the Islaamic world are all forbidden. Visiting them is sinful. What is worse however, is that those who visit these shrines call upon other than Allaah, which is Shirk. See how shaytaan has deceived the Muslims and taken them away from worshipping Allaah to worshipping the dead! Islaam orders us to supplicate (dua) to Allaah alone.
To be fair, I would agree that there are certain dangers, such as limiting one's attention only on the Awliya.
What I see as a major issue is not following in their example of service, remembrance and devotion. Instead thinking them somehow elevated to a place we can never attain, so why even try? No, I believe great ones are meant to be followed. Islam is about submission of one's self, so WE must do it. I just wanted to make it clear that I see what you're saying in some ways.

W salam , The point we have is that we have to follow what Koran and Prophet S.A.W say !
Yes ! i agree with you that we must follow great people ! the Awliya and others because they did alot for the religion !
BUT ppl should not ask Awliya for help ! Thats Shirk ! we can ask only Allah for help ! the video shows ppl kissing the graves and bowing ! Thats all shirk ! Because we can ask just Allah ! Noone else .

Visiting shrine according to the Shariah is not disallowed, just go through the fatawa by classical Sunni authorities on Islam, visit sunnipath dot com or sunnah dot org, and its lack of knowledge to say SHRINE CULTURE IN PAKISTAN, since these shrines are present throughout the Muslim world. But yes the bad practices are there done by illiterates who need to be reformed. SHRINE CULTURE IS GR8...
