The Boomers, established rock band are presented on Independent Music Channel of Web2.0Television with the song SAVING FACE. Video produced by Alma Records.
For those who don't now, the singer is Ian Thomas, a very well known singer/songwriter in Canada. He has been putting out albums since the early 70's and peaked in the late 70's and early 80's fame-wise. He has written many hit songs for other artists, including 'Hold On' for Santana, and "The Runner" which was a hit for Manfred Mann. He is also the brother of actor Dave Thomas (of SCTV .. Bob & Doug Mackenzie fame).
Aye, they're an amazing band. I've loved their music for a long time. It really is to bad that they are such an underrated band. They have such a distinct and unique sound to their music.
I wish their music was easier to find around here too. Thanks for posting some of their songs, eh!
Great song! It just amazes me that The Boomers didn't have more success here in Canada. I saw them at Ontario Place years ago and they were awesome. All incredibly talented musicians and great songs. For some reason Germany had them figured out.
Great Band ! Hope theyre still together and working on something new.
Does anyone know where there have tracked all their stuff ?
Where was it mixed ? Studio ? Engineer ?
Sounds always great !
