  • I remember reading somewhere that Jerry Mathers had worked with Hugh Beaumont in a religious film, and Hugh helped Jerry learn how to pretend to cry. When Jerry later learned that Hugh was up for the role of Ward, he said he prayed that Hugh would be cast.

  • She looks so fantastic for any age. Lovely interview.

  • Now THAT'S a lady.

  • It's a shame Hugh Beaumont (TV's Ward Cleaver) didn't live long enough to be interviewed for this TV Legends series. There was obviously a LOT of chemistry (and affection) between the whole cast of "Leave it to Beaver".

  • I had the biggest thing for Her. I was born in 1959. So pretty!

  • wow! what a woman! shame the words dont line up with the picture

  • OMG!!! My TV Mom!!!! What a woman! Still haven`t found a gal like you Mom!

  • I completely agree, cat! It's the honesty mixed with the humor. She's absolutely adorable. A friend of mine delivered something to her home a few years ago and she offered him some chocolate chip cookies. He said it was so surreal and she was exactly like you'd think -- lovely.

  • Barbara will be 94 in December 2009. Hope I make it that long, and look at good as her. She looks better than the Beve and Wally, see them lately. Eddie Haskell looks like he had a rough life too, drink much!
