I got bored the other day and recorded myself singing Frank's big solo from The Rocky Horror Show. I had to do Brad and Janet's parts too. Let's just say I wouldn't make a good Brad, lol. I also went a little flat at the end, but oh well.

Tim Curry was playing Frank on stage with Richard well before the movie, so YES, it is HIS role..and Richard CHOSE TIM TO PLAY IT..That's like saying that the Elvis impersonators are not just copies..get a brain.

@melissatorrisi1 Your Elvis analogy is quite flawed. Yes, I know very well that Tim was the first actor to play the role and he is undoubtedly the most well-known and the prototype. But Richard O'Brien wrote the character years before even meeting Tim. Frank N. Furter is a character; therefore, he can be played by numerous actors. Are all actresses who play Dorothy Judy Garland impersonators? What about Phantom? Are they Michael Crawford impersonators? No. They're actors playing roles.

You got to be louder on some notes and sing with a bit of a growl like Tim Curry did if you wanted to make your cover more close to the original. You have a great voice by the way. Also, don't be affraid to let anyone hear you. stress like that can cause muscles to tighten and your voice doesn't have as much power behind it.

@JordansGuitarCovers Thanks for the comments. I'm usually pretty loud, but I was recording this late at night and didn't want to wake the whole family, lol. Also, it is not really my intention to copy Tim Curry. While he was definitely a heavy influence, I like to give the characters I play my own flair.
