  • excellent performance of this incredible and tricky motet. amazing!

  • The pipes that carry the sound of the light Sicilian song

    Can't drive away the heavy weeping that comes from the depths of my breast;

    Nor that song that comes from roaring Aufidus.

    But you, o muse, who haunt the lovely woods of Sirmio,

    You who were the more kind, as Lesbia was hard

    Come to me, sorrowful with the departure of my prince.

    Muse, the delight of your Catullus,

    lend your sweet song to these sad oaten pipes.

  • pièce coplètement folle!!! magnifique! merci de l'avoir postée...

  • check my new video...

    i'll upload a piece from another composer, i think more "intellectualized" as Gesualdo called: Scipione Lacorcia... amazing music, you'll hear...

  • I'd say there's more resonance with Josquin than immediately meets the ear; however, you should check out Carlo Gesualdo's madrigali. I'm reminded particularly of his Belta, Poi Che T'Assenti, what with the imitative treatment of the rising chromatic linear progressions, though here it seems to be more pervasive. Also, I'd check Orlando di Lasso.

    This particular madrigal, however, is quite astounding! I could not find this record with the original label; perhaps I will search Ebay.
