Battlefield Bad Company 2 BETA graphics review, showing all the different quality settings and their effects: Level of Detail, Texture Quality, Shadow Quality, Effects Quality, Anisotropic Filter, HBAO (Horizon-Based Ambient Occlusion).
As you can see, there is no change in Texture Quality, no matter which option is chosen. Level of Detail and Shadow really makes some difference, Effects mainly change from Low to Medium. Anisotropic Filter has effect when changed from 1x to 8x, but 16x doesn't improve the quality. HBAO creates some nice lighting effects, especially in dark corners of rooms, but since it really needs a lot of computation and thus decreases your framerate by 30%, it's not really worth it (yet).
DICE claimed that textures and HBAO will be greatly improved in the final version, as well as the performance itself. So expect even better graphics in the future!

Nvidia 560ti is boss. ALWAYS running 60 fps, on DX11 aswell. Need a good CPU aswell though.

@stonesourbonez20 Chill out. I never insulted you. I'm not sure of whether or not there is any change, maybe a slight, unnoticeable upgrade. And what do you mean they don't overhaul graphics during beta? Explain that a little bit please. Also, what do you mean when you say that you shipped the 4 top selling?

@FruitofWar Only beta? Thats how it will ship you stupid fuck. They dont overhaul graphics during beta. So sick of people saying "its just beta, the graphics will be better when it ships". - I have shipped 4 top selling titles.
