BEYOND THE BLUE HORIZON FROM THE FILM MONTE CARLO MADE IN 1932 WITH CO STAR JACK BUCHANAN. THE SONG WAS ALWAYS ON JEANETTES CONCERT REPORTOIRE, EVEN HER PARTNER NELSON EDDY LEFT US HIS KRAFT MUSIC HALL RENDITION, COMPOSED BY RICHARD WHITING...
ENJOY!!!!
I hear the relationship of this song to the hauntingly lyrical aspect of the Star Trek original series theme. Image this singer (Jeanette Macdonald) vocalizing the melody of the theme music and rearrange the note progressions into something more 'spacy'. Heck, even the timing of both songs is the same. Nice work Alexander Courage!

@mumblebump That's why I went looking for it too. For the life of me I find it difficult to match to the OS Trek main title, except the long "Beyond" sounds a little like the sweep of music as the Enterprise first swishes past on the title screen.

Funny thing...Alexander Courage credited this version of this very song as the inspiration for the original Star Trek television theme.
