If you're on the go or have a kid who is, look at the Voltaic solar battery charger backpack. The solar panels on the Voltaic solar battery charger backpack connect to a battery to charge your iPod, cell phone or laptop. The Voltaic solar battery charger backpack comes with a phone adapter and a USB adapter so you can charge your batteries and gear.

  • There are a bunch of plugs that come with this backpack, so I'm sure you'd have a plug that works for your chargers.

  • The new briefcase model will charge a laptop. The backpack model charges phones, PDAs and smaller items. It is really amazing to see it in person and I'm looking forward to CES 2009 for the next gen of this product suite. Ilyce Glink

  • "These dont work in the uk".. Or darkness surprisingly, moron.. Whilst TRAVELLING they are fantastic.. Also in the UK for example say you get lost, run out of charge on phone etc you can easily get at least 2.5 hrs more even in cloudy conditions.. Say you use the bag every day but don't use it to charge its always ready to go.. It's an emergency standby not for daily use.. It's never let me down.

  • feels good ya totally

  • theese are really weak nothing to powerful, more surface area for better power

  • What a great idea...backpack solar charger!

  • backpack solar charger smaller but can charge a loptop

  • @awesomemike996 around $200

  • They really don't work that well. The solar panels are just not strong enough. Takes about 8 hours in full sun to charge the battery. Not worth it

  • Trust me these dont work as well as they say, here in the UK during a nice weekend of clear sunny skies and 25c temps it took the solar panel and the battery 2 full days to charge, and only gave a 75% charge to my iphone.

Maybe in the next 10 years they will do what they say on the packaging.
