This "Soul of the Bayou" show brings together two Louisiana legends to celebrate the superb musical traditions of the Gulf Coast. Since forming in 1975, Grammy winners BeauSoleil have claimed their undisputed role as the most esteemed Cajun group in the world. BeauSoleil and Michael Doucet take rich Cajun traditions and artfully stir elements of zydeco, New Orleans jazz, Tex-Mex, country, and blues into a satisfying musical recipe. The Subdudes first roared out of New Orleans' landmark Tipitina's night club 20 years ago. Michael Doucet and Beausoliel is the only reason I passed my college french class at the University of Alaska. What an amazing band and an amazing artist! I learned all my "bad" french from him.
