A lot of people thought that Bo could only make songs like this in the studio with editing, but here he proves that he can do it in person. Note the close of shot of him playing chords below the bridge of the guitar. Also, note the groove that he gets going before the bands starts playing.

  • @fredvs ,

Where did you come across that video? I am the bass man. FYI the Fender amps were rented but I off loaded my Marshall stack because it looked like my rental wasn't going to cut it.. We did at least a hundred of those gigs with Bo over the years. He was a good friend, and I know I can speak for the others in the video, we all miss him.

  • shit! Bo Diddley is TEARING IT UP!

  • The look of the crowd on this video was the same at Birmingham many years ago, only a few hundred but it was no different he gave us a night we never forgotten. The best he asked and played what we wanted,at the end he jumped of the stage and thanked us to turn up.

  • Artista completo...

  • The SHERIFF of Rock'n'Roll Lays down the Law with the most ULTIMATE Rhythm of all time!

  • Awesome. Bo did punk guitar workouts that stand up today.

'Bo Diddley' the song is one of the greatest two-and-some minutes slice of pop energy of all time.

What a shame that he never got the money due to him from all the ripoffs (yes, you, Jagger/Richards).

    RIP great man.

Check him doing Hollywood A Go Go 1965 on youtube and be blown away.

  • I only started watching these Bo Diddly videos today and I am finding them VERY impressive!! I got the (as the title suggests) Bodiddleyitis:) Yeah, Jimi was obviously influenced by him, and even vice versa I'm sure (and we all still ARE by both), so they were BOTH just flippin' marvellous :) Jimi did have sounds in his head that he mimicked on his guitar, which is impressive too, and you can tell that by the faces he pulls :p Bo was the original though :)

  • @Zepster77 It was the Bobby Comstock Band. We were the back up band for Richard Naders Rock&Roll Revival Show 1969/89. Bo and Bob had been friends for a long time. When we weren't on the road with the show we would do other venues with Chuck Berry or Bo. The clip is a "warm up" before the official taping of the premier episode of Don Kirshners In Concert series. Others that night, Chuck Berry (whom we also backed up), Poco, Almond Bros., Seals&Croft, Curtis Mayfield and Alice Cooper.

  • @jwc21re What was the name of your band? Can you give us more info about this particular gig?

  • Incredible clip. Of those old time rockers, no one does it better than Bo.

  • @charemaine Um, honey—other way around.
