@SteveBenway That's right, games for the home micro's ranged from a couple of quid to £10. There's no way I would've been able to persuade my mum to splash out £30 per game! :)
This is a coding feat for the 2600. The programmers really worked hard cramming all that into a few kilobytes. Makes you wonder about today's scene where gigahertzs and gigabytes are required for gaming. Can the coders of today honestly claim they push hardware to the limits like the guys of 80s did?

I like that era myself too.
Modern games kind of scare me!
So many keys to play,so many specifications and sadly most of the times no score indicator !

One of my absolute faves, even though it looks like it's no fun at all
Still quite a lot of fun and typical of the charm the 2600 had
And Scramble too was a great little game. This the sequel was quite a bit better in arcade form of course and a fair bit more difficult.Having played the arcade version it was essential i had this for my 2600.Disapointed at first, i soon grew to love this version more
Can't imagine showing this to a teen having recently got himself a 360.How lucky we are
It looks damm good for a 2600, it must be quite rare if it cost you £30

All 2600 games were around £30 back in '83. It's part of why the Spectrum and C64 became so popular... their games were so much cheaper.
