  • Why don´t you drive it if u are breaking it in? That treatment on a cold motor with new piston isn´t the best cocktail!

do 2 or 3 10 min. intevals instead. First 1 with warm water in the cooler (from a boiler) about 60´C. Drive it rich (a little) and drive it to max. 1/2 rpm. The trick is to always let the engine work - don´t keep a constant speed, but break then accelerate. Let it cool for 10 min.

    2./3. time - 3/5 / 3/4 rpm same driving style.

Repect for starting it with ur hands - lol!

  • Thanks for the tips, however this break-in had to be done on the stand because we rebuilt the motor after saturday's race and there was no track time before Sunday's event. We have 3 ICA's all fresh and ready to go for every race but after friday and Saturday's racing we had gone through all 3. This was due to the high temperatures and wind which blew sand into the air and ultimatley through our motors.

  • Oh I see - thats bad luck!!

Dont you drive with a filter on it? I drive a ASR aircleaner on my Iame leopard with ibea carb, and as effect goes - my lap times are still the same - at least on my engine.

  • Yes we use the freeline airbox.

  • very smokey bad fule mix?

  • The carb is tuned rich because we are breaking it in (new motor)

  • what do they run for fuel

  • HEY Brody how's is going man! Its Riley from Quesnel. I drove the number 25 ICC. Unfortunately we sold it though so there is no go-karting for me unless we buy another one (most likely Canada Senior) for dicking around this summer.

  • lol, how I did it is I got my dad's own bussiness to sponsor me, It's great when tires last 2 weeks and 150 $ each set :)

  • the have to scence they are direct drive so to cover the range of speeds on the track they have to have a very broad rpm range its crazy.

  • Were do you get the money to buy all those engines? Do you have sponsors? I wish I could have that kind of money for karting lol.

  • yea, but they are expensive to run.

  • Glad to hear that :-)

My god that video is cruel for ears :-)
