Irans electoral crisis exposes the deepening divide there, especially with its women and young voters (who alone represent 70% of the population) and its radical conservative ruling elite, so out of touch with their real fears, hopes and aspirations. The mullahs are swimming against the freedom tide of Iranian society. To guage a society and how free it is, just pay attention to its women, seems educated Iranian women too have become like canaries of the mind, so ready to be freed!

Although I'm American and we have some serious apologizing to the world to do, I think Iranians protesting in the street is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Persians are the most advanced of the old civilizations and "real democracy" should have started there. Don't take anymore of this bullshit my Iranian brothers and sisters. You could lead the world one day. Religion has its place, within government it is only poison. Peace
