Rep. Manzullo Questions Big 3 Automakers on Need for Bailout

Congressman Don Manzullo asked the CEOs of Ford, Chrysler and GM what they would do with the bailout money they are requesting and whether a tax deduction on the purchase of a new vehicle would be a better idea to strengthen their industry.

They claim they are paying out contractual agreements with this money. What would they have done if this money was not available to pay? Bonus money to a failing company is rediculous and an insult to the american tax payer. This should have been addressed before the money was made available. You reward progress, not failure.

Maybe if you became union there, you would have respectable wages. If not for the unions "in the north" you would not have the wages being paid at non union shops. You need a top to be able to work for the bottom

Why did my NEW 1991 GMC truck cost me $18,000.00, and my new 2005 GMC Truck cost me $50,000.00. There not that different of a vehicle! Is this the auto makers or is it businesses and government playing with the economy and $. I won't finance, I don't turst those buggers, I pay cash or I don't buy.
