Flight Lieutenant Michael Wong founded "Operation Flying Eagle" for young air cadets aged 11 to 21. This was Hong Kong's first helicopter air experience programme for youths.
Operation Flying Eagle is a milestone in the Hong Kong Aviation History and the scheme managed to convince many more private helicopter pilots to provide similar flying experience for young cadets on a volunteer basis.
For his services to local Aviation Education above and beyond the normal call of duty, Flt Lt Wong was awarded the HKACC Commandant's Commendation in 2002.
Michael put this video together to express his feelings about the programme, what led him to start it and what he hopes it will achieve.
