  • im sorry but its not a mini cooper, if it was it would have kicked the, whatever it is arse. That Was a letland mini, probably thr LS so it either had a 998cc or 1098cc engine. Cooper S have specially hotted up 1275cc with twin carburettors as used by the Police. Im sorry, but just fix your little mistake uo.

  • yuck your spit was disgusting.

  • sad face :(

  • The 1275GT was the performance model and the LS was the luxury model. I have a 1976 Leyland mini SS, with it's stock 998, and a base model 1977 Leyland Mini Clubman that has been upgraded with a 1275 engine, 12g940 11stud head and a cooper s gearbox.

  • sounds very nice, i love the close ratio boxes! yer i drive 2

    a 1976 mini clubman ss

    a 1977 mini clubman panelvan

both have "race spec" motors (the sedan moreso) yer deffinatly respect to anyone who has had or has a mini of any kind (except for the new one :P ) yer some do get overbored with mods hehe...

  • yeah im just learning as much as i can =] i own a 1981 (rego'd in 82) leyland mini with an 1100 from a clubby and a close ratio box.. yeah i thought so haha its all so confusing. u drive a mini?? respect to all classic mini owners, drivers and lovers (except for a couple heavily body worked ones ive seen =|)

  • no problem mate, theres alot of misunderstanding between owners or just admirers because of the fact some models came under different names in different countries etc. i do believe its an aussie thing, the LS for example, (dont quote me on this) is the equivelent to the 1275GT overseas...i think...haha...alot of the overseas names are used here anyway so its hard to tell the difference!

    cheers.

  • oh cheers for that. was it a purely aussie thing or something? hahaha. we got none of that over here.

  • sorry to disturb ur rant mate, but...

there was badged mini SS' they were introduced in 1976, it came with a twin speaker sound system and alloy wheels as standard, it also had an updated interior compared to the S model...ive got one...

and an LS is a 1275cc mini clubman with 12" wheels released in 1978

    just to enlighten your views

    cheers.

  • thanks

  • 1275gt ckubman rule :)
