Who cares if she is an atheist? I mean... is that really so important? Anyway, the American constitution is based on the separation of religion and politics isn't it?

Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem in the first place to register for the Roman census, and to pay the appropriate tax.

For Roman Citizens only (Jesus wouldn't have been one), and something like 2 dozen have been preserved. None of them are for Jesus or any of his supposed family. So what's your point?

Birth certificates for Roman citizens were introduced during the reign of Augustus.

No, we can't really debate it because:

    1) there's not enough evidence for a real debate, and

    2) you wrongly think that Romans required birth certificates, and that we have such a document for Jesus. Sorry, you don't know enough to have a debate.

The Romans required live births to be reported to them at the time that Jesus was believed to have been born. We can debate whether he was the Messiah or not, but the man certainly did exist.

Nope. No Roman records of Jesus' birth, life, or execution. That doesn't mean he didn't exist of course, but there isn't an ancient equivalent of a birth certificate for the man. What makes you think there was?

Under the Constitution any person can run for office regardless of religious faith. It is also anyone's right to vote against that person based on their faith.
