I'm afraid it's just irony. Take Frankie Boyle as a case example...the sicker his jokes ((apparently)) the funnier he is. Banning conversations like this in the media would also, surely infringe on someones freedom of speech. It also wouldn't stop people making these sorts of remarks for comic impact in their own homes. Whether I think it's right or not is a different matter
