Kelly and Jon at Truro Cathedral

A WEDDING IN THE MAGNIFICANT CATHEDRAL FOLLOWED BY A RECEPTION AT ALVERTON MANOR
This was a truly Cornish wedding in the traditional style. Heavy black clouds lifted as Kelly arrived and then the rest of the day was a typical Cornwall sunny day.
Truro Cathedral is relatively modern having been built on the site of the old parish church.It is magnificant both inside and out. Kelly and Jon have a special link with the cathedral as their son Jamie is a chorister there. The weather was kind and a large crowd gathered for Kelly's arrival. Jamie not only sang but gave a reading which was very emotional.
The atmosphere outside the Cathedral with the bustling Saturday shoppers added to the feeling of excitement as Kelly and Jon along with their son and daughter were covered in confetti on the steps.
After the ceremony it was off to Alverton manor for the reception.The Great Hall is magnificent and the table decorations added to the atmosphere. Drinks on the terrace and photos on the lawn with Dan from Lightbox Photographic were followed by a tasty meal and some excellent speeches including one from Jamie.
