What an outstanding performance by the Festival Orchestra and especially Dan Zhu? His playing is beautiful, deep rich tone and vibrato, timing is perfect and the feeling really comes through. I often hesitate to listen to violinists that I don't know well or that play with amateur orchestras but this is a great case against that thinking. I was moved by this performance, bravo!

Page sublime de la littérature musicale romantique. Dan Zhu très bien (un peu trop sage quand même !) et Eschenbach, comme d'habitude, en maître. Son superbe. Je connais la version de Patrice Fontanarosa, plus folle, plus désespérée, mais peut-être moins "allemande" que celle-là
