  • Midge was NOT a druggie but did sometimes use cannabis to relax after a hectic days filming, & once had his cheesy wotsits spiked while performing with Jethro Tull. Mungos obsessive humping of Marys leg made him the first ever dog on the sex offenders register, a fact still mentioned in the Guinness Book Of World Records to this day. Mary gave up showbusiness after becoming pregnant with Hong Kong Phooyes love child, she now makes a decent living selling her (un)worn socks and panties on eBay.

  • 5 people don't like the lift smelling of cigarettes and wee!

  • As a child raised on this programme, and now a total "director's commentary addict", I was practically falling off my chair at this wonderfully observed piece of gentle humour.

    THANK YOU! Brilliant.

  • This reminds me of the earliest childhood memory I have - crawling to the skirting board and peeling back the carpet, finding a ball of hair on the underfelt and trying to eat it, this was playing on the telly at the time.
