Inseparable - A JB Love Story [Chapter 8, Part 1]

We left off with Jay finally leaving for that date!

Joe: So, where are you taking us?
Jaydlyn: I'm not telling. Get in the car and you'll find out.
Joe: Can I put my guitar in back?
Jaydlyn: Yeah.
Joe: Why were you in such a hurry today?
Jaydlyn: I had to get the car washed, make reservations, buy stuff, yeah.
Joe: Oh.
Jaydlyn: Hey, does Nick like Caroline?
Joe: Maybe. Does Caroline like Nick?
Jaydlyn: I don't know, he just seemed a little bit, I don't know. Nice, or attentive.
Joe: Maybe.
Jaydlyn: Do you want to know the truth?
Joe: What?
Jaydlyn: Caroline likes Nick but hates your music.
Joe: That's, weird.
Jaydlyn: That's what I said. She's just backwards.
Joe: I guess. *looks out the window* Wait, we're going back to the oceanfront?
Jaydlyn: Yeah.
Joe: Nice.
*After another ten minutes, they ended up at the Marriott.*
Joe: Wow, this is nice.
Jaydlyn: Have you never been to Virginia Beach?
Joe: Not the hotels on the oceanfront.
Jaydlyn: This place is called Ocean Grille. It’s really nice inside.
*They walked into the restaurant and Jaydlyn saw the same lady from the desk earlier that day.*
Lady: Oh, Jaydlyn, right?
Jaydlyn: Yes, I was here earlier.
Lady: Yes, just wait right here and a waiter will come for you.
Joe: Thanks. She seems nice.
Jaydlyn: Yeah, I guess.
Waiter: Right this way.
*They were led to a room in back.*
Joe: Wow, this is really nice.
Jaydlyn: I haven't even seen this before.
Joe: So, did you know about this place before?
Jaydlyn: Caroline told me about it.
Joe: Oh. Hey, Jay?
Jaydlyn: What?
Joe: Never mind.
Jaydlyn: Joe, you can't keep this now. I'm gonna keep asking you.
Joe: Okay.
Jaydlyn: Okay, what?
Joe: Keep asking. I won't say until I'm ready.
Jaydlyn: Fine. Okay.
Joe: Like, how's your school, or something.
Jaydlyn: *chuckles* Do you mean to be funny?
Joe: Sometimes.
Jaydlyn: Well, I went to Princess Anne High. I just graduated. Actually, this is my first year back from Italy.
Joe: Are you serious?
Jaydlyn: Yeah, like, I lived there since seventh grade.
Joe: So, where was your favorite place, internationally?
Jaydlyn: That's a really good question. Um, maybe Rome? I liked riding the subways there.
Joe: The subways?
Jaydlyn: Well, then, I guess it depends on who you're riding with.
Joe: Wow.
Jaydlyn; Actually, I liked Rota, Spain. It's a navy base, and I liked the base. Actually, there is someone who lives there who looks just like Nick. But his name is Cameron, so it doesn't work too well.
Joe: Oh. Okay.
Waiter: May I take your order?
Jaydlyn: Um, can I have the Caesar Salad and Chicken and Shrimp Scampi?
Joe: I'll have the same thing.
Waiter: Alright, that was easy. Your food will come in a moment.
Jaydlyn: So if my food is bad you will blame me?
Joe: Yep.
Jaydlyn: Okay. Thanks.

Nice. Will the food taste good? I sure hope so. What did Joe want to ask Jay? Aaaah, that's a really good question.And even Joe thinks that Caroline's "anti-jonas-but-not-so-anti-jonas" thing is kinda awkward, if you know what I mean. So will her dislike of Jonas music ruin her chances with Nick? To get the answers you have to read the next part of the chapter. (part 2)
