@XtraDimensiionz not to be a jerk about this but the P-51 Mustang didn't serve the last 2 years of WWII it served 3 years. It was the Brits that requested more P40s but the US couldn't produce enough.

North American Aviation made a new prototype (new airframe same Allison V1450) so the brits used the Mustang in the Reconnissance units

@pudransemarikas The P-51 Mustang wracked up over 600 kills during the two years it was in service. You're just trolling the internet like an idiot looking for attention and I am giving it to you. They were all really good aircraft, the ME-109, had a top speed of about 381 MPH, the Mustang had it beat by 50 MPH. The German aces were killed off over the 6 years of the war with obsolete fighters, the US had more allies with more experienced pilots. Quit trolling.
