This game has been already out now and this is 2011.

i have bought the spore game from wal-mart.com and amazon.com. I have all disc's and I never buy the downloads!

Plus they are trying to add darkspore parts into spore. But they haven't got it done yet. But who know when that will be. The mod is called dark injection 5.2 and that adds darkspore parts to spore GA.

But EA/maxis thinks its too much money to do it and they would think it wouldn't be good enough. They leave us the community stranded with an unfinished piece of artwork.
