Game: Trauma Center: New Blood
Platform: Nintendo Wii
Operation 2-2: The Pacemaker
Rank: XS
Score: 5650
Doctor: Valerie Blaylock
Player(s): ChewyLSB
Notes: You know there is basically no good place to use Valerie's HT. Since the vitals have to be set to 10 three times during the operation, and even if you have Valerie's HT active, it gets set to 10, using her healing touch would only be a waste of time. This is probably the only operation in the game where there is literally no benefit to using her healing touch.

  • I envy your Trauma Center awesomeness <3

I have a question about this stage: Every time I try to take the first leads out of the heart, my forceps have -a lot- of trouble grabbing on which results in several misses and severely lowered vitals. The right lead seems to especially like giving me problems. The rest of the mission goes smoothly, but screwing up here really messes with my score, or, in some cases, my overall success.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • I know! It's as if he himself has the Healing Touch!

  • thanks

  • wat a steaddy hand u av it's unreal kinda i'm now jealous

  • You get an OK for everything you do but for some things, like stiching, you can get a bad, good or cool. the manual for SO says that for things that can be judged on how good you do you can get a bad, good or cool.

  • I will say up front that the New Blood videos are extremely, extremely impressive. Haven't watched most of the Second Opinion videos yet (I find it hard to watch videos recorded by those methods - although you recorded those WAY better than most people), but I'll force myself to eventually.

Is there any chance you could put up (or point me to) a video demonstration/explanation of what constitutes Good/OK/Cool for each action in an operation? On some occasions it's hard to tell.

  • Yeah I agree, and since it's such a short mission anyway....

  • There could've been some benefit if you used HT right before the 3rd time she fibrillates... on the other hand, the heart massage would probably have the same effect.
