YOU LOOK MAGNIFICENT

but not with that tie...

Grandma Van de Kamp, Phyllis, has arrived for Rex's funeral and immediately starts pushing Bree's buttons. Phyllis wants Rex buried with his "god awful" orange prep school tie. Bree kindly declines the offer.

At the funeral the orange tie turns up on Rex and, well, the tie doesn't set well with Bree's image of Rex through eternity...

  • The first time I saw that scene I had never heard of Desperate Housewives and I was so shocked at Bree's reaction, which I then considered as a huge freak. As I began to watch the series, however, I came to like her more and more and now she stands among my favorite characters. Not to mention I understand now, why she choose to change the tie. Go Bree, that's the spirit. Also, Marci Cross, Bravo!

  • Man, I can't stand her obsessive perfectionism.

  • I Love Bre

  • I love the way she was looking everywhere for the right tie.

  • Bree is such a cool lady!

  • I can only imagine what Bree was thinking when she saw that god awful that Rex was wearing, and she stopped before they can close the lid, she went up the aisle and eventually to Tom Scavo and asked for his tie(he was Marcia Cross's. Melrose Place co-star) and she sat Rex up in his casket in front of everybody and replaced the green and orange tie with Tom's...now that was a great scene.

  • Yeah agree with you there Phyllis sure did burn Bree with that "I'm surprised that he married your mother" line and Bree's reaction thinking of strangling her mother-in-law.

  • Shirley Knight a truly gifted actress who sincerely shined playing Helen Hunt's mother in As Good As It Gets, she should've gotten an oscar nomination for her performance.

  • looks like dad was into Big Breasts

Yes he was which is why i was shocked when he married your Mother....

    BURN!

  • i cant stop laughing
