A great way to get a hands-on Hawaiian history lesson is to visit the Kapahu Living History Farm. You'll discover how Taro is planted and harvested and learn why it's so important to Hawaiian culture. Taro is the basic ingredient for Poi but while Poi is the most common use for Taro, its also being used in breads, chips and even burgers. And there's something fun about playing in the mud.
