I like how Henry is mad at Charles but then, needs him while in pain. I like their friendship.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers , you surely rock my world !! it has to be his best role cause he gave everything , body and soul , anger , you can see every muscle in this strugle .Go johny

@JuzTudor70AD Henry and his father were always afraid of those who still had Plantagenet blood because they had a stronger claim to the throne than the Tudors did. They could easily overthrow the Tudors and take back the throne.

@brandie7654 actually when a prince is a minor when he comes to the crown, they have someone rule for him to make his decisions for him until he comes of age (16-18). edwards uncle, whome he was named after, was going to be his regent should henry die when edward was so young. and if mary tried to take the thrown, that would be tyrany and she would be put to death.
-
@FlashGORDONXVFFR at this point she had every right to gain the throne after his death. even over the boy because he was like 2 or 3...too young to rule. so it ultimately goes back to mary

No she wasnt, all through season three the princesses were reffered to as princess rather than Lady, they arnt restored to the succession untill season 4!

@BabyDLowe Actually, his mother's life underscored the need for a male heir. As the sole surviving child of a king, she should have been queen in her own right, but because of her gender a boor like Henry Tudor (Henry VII) was able to marry her and claim her birthright by conquest. With few exceptions (Elizabeth and Isabella of Spain being the most notable) people rally around princes and scheme on behalf of princesses.

@Jamestopboy I don't disagree with what you've said except that Henry VII grabbed the throne before he married Edward IV's daughter. He had no legitimate claim to the throne in his own right. Henry VIII would not have been King if his father had not fought and de-throned Richard, because Henry VII would not then have had the opportunity to father a child by Edward IV's daughter.

@heliotropezzz333 actually, no. They were descendants of Edward IV's brothers, and daughters... While Henry was the descendant of Edward IV's eldest daughter, who was, after Edward V and Richard of Shrewsbury, next in line, that's why he married her, to give his claim to the throne legitimacy, after Richard III was killed, Elizabeth was Edward IV's heir.
Cool video and why was Henry was so ill during this scene?
Karkaroff26 2 years ago
The wound on his leg from his jousting accident cannot be totally healed. This scene showed that the wound has gotten worse & that its pus has to be constantly drained manually or else it would make him ill...

oh, i thought he was making fun of her? or just taking the view of the catholic Plantagenets
FlashGORDONXVFFR 2 years ago
Honestly, I believe he got rid of the Planteagenets cuz he's afraid tt they might lead the catholics to rise up & put Mary on the throne instead of Edward when he's gone.. Mary was restored to the succession but with terms & conditions...
